Manchester City have taken a major step to lock down one of their most important young players. Joško Gvardiol has agreed a new long-term contract that will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2031.
The 24-year-old Croatian defender is expected to formally sign the deal on Monday (28 July) and complete media duties ahead of the official announcement. The extension ends months of speculation linking him with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and confirms City’s determination to build around their core under new head coach Enzo Maresca.
